Guest guest
Good day to all. I've just recently been diagnosed with RA and fibromyalgia. I have a question, my doctor juast called and wants me to have an ultrsound on my liver. They stated that my liver enzymes have tripled since my previous blood work a month and a half ago. She also said that it's not that unusual with someone with RA. Can someone explain? My doctor just said to wait until the ultrasound results are in. My ultrasound is scheduled for Friday (she wanted it as soon as possible.) Thanks, friends and God Bless. Dalena

Guest guest
He Dalena. I just had an ultrasound on my liver because my liver enzymes were elevated. Mine were only slightly elevated and it was just a precaution. Yours tripling in just one month is reason for concern. RA isn't the cause of the enzyme increase, it is the meds that treat it. Methotrexate commonly causes elevated liver enzymes. Arava is also hard on the liver. I hope your ultrasound is ok. sent in several very good articles that should explain liver enzymes. a On Wed, 08 Dec 2004 20:03:39 -0000, casterramom <casterramom@...> wrote: > > > Good day to all.
