,

I can relate about having a son in the military! Our youngest son, Mark,

went into the Navy 2, almost 3 years ago in Oct. I guess by then I was used

to my kids leaving. Our daughter, Lara, 30, went to college at Cedarville in

Ohio and we saw her only at Christmas and summers for 4 years. She now is the

associate producer of Family News in Focus for Focus on the Family in

Colorado Springs, CO. Our son, , moved to Austin, TX following his

dream of Contemporary Christian music working on a music magazine. THEN Mark

left for Great Lakes in Oct of 1997. He's in the nuclear program and is on

his second patrol on the submarine, the USS Maine, somewhere out in the

Atlantic. He got married last Sept. and his wife is in St. 's, GA where

he's stationed when he's not on the sub. It's hard having 3 kids in 3

different time zones, but the opportunities for travel are wonderful!! We

attended Mark's graduation from Nuclear Power School and of course his

wedding. We've been to Austin a couple of times and will go next April when

he and his wonderful fiance are married. Lara we get to see more often

because it's " only " at 10 hour drive and now of course with my going to Drs.

in Denver we head down that way several times a year.

But it is really hard especially to see the first one fly out of the nest;

I'll never forget leaving Lara in Ohio in the parking lot of her

dorm.......she was crying, I was crying and I just wanted to turn around and

pick her up and take her home with us!!

Sorry this got so long and personal and not much at all about PSC!!
