Guest guest Posted June 28, 2011 Report Share Posted June 28, 2011 I dont know what to do. My son who is 6 yrs old has had encopresis for 3 years now. We went yesterday to a pediatric gastoralogist. This was the first time we have been to him. We have been to 2 other ones before with no help. He was really nice. He said at lunch time to give him 6 tbsp of benifiber or Miralax. I am doing benifiber. then every day after that to up the dosage alittle bit. until he is complely cleaned out. He was so backed up the Dr. did an ultra sound. I had no clue he was that compacted. Do you think that is way too much benifiber. The container said no more than 3 tsp. a day for his age group.
