Guest guest
Hi Barbara I am really sorry that your husband is acting the way that he is. I think that you need to have him accompany you to ALL of your appointments so that he can see every side of your illness/chronic pain. It is very hard to live with someone that is in constant pain like we are, other people that have not experienced any type of harsh pain will definately not understand. My husband also has chronic pain from having four back surgeries and he still has four hurniated discs in his back that he will not get taken care of. So in his predicament, he understands how chronic pain feels, maybe not to the degree that I have it, but he knows that I am a real sufferer. The letter that's been floating around for years, A Letter from People With Chronic Pain, might help if he reads it. I will send it to you off line so it won't clog the board again. Everyone has given you excellant advice concerning your pain medications and the differance between addicted and dependant, so I will not go there, I would judt be saying to you the same things that have been told numerous times!! :-) Good luck with your husband, and I sure hope that you will keep us all informed on that subject and how you , yourself are doing. Big huggs, Sandy C-P Moderator
