Guest guest
I used my Dan EMEM with an Ateleir Robin frequency generator and it hooked right up. You might be able to pick up one of Dan's machines with the analog generator and look for a used Ateleir Robin F125 on royalrife.com. I doubt there are many of Dan's machines out there with the digital generator for sale since to my knowledge he didn't make very many. I know that he only charges about $50.00 for the analog generator so you wouldn't be out that much money if you bought one with an analog and found an Ateleir which is a really good frequency generator used by many companies. > > I would like to buy a used Dan -built emem2 (or emem3) machine in very good condition. I am looking for a model with the digital audiogenerator; some models he built with this used a Ramsey SG-550 audiogenerator. > > If you have a machine you would like to sell, please contact me at psychicfashion@... > > Thank you, > Holly >
Guest guest
, this is very interesting. How exactly did you hook it up? I am not a very technical person, but I do alright with instructions. Guest guest
Hi Holly, You can also try the used equipment link... This changes daily, so check often... http://www.drloyd.com/bb/viewforum.php?f=2 & sid=25fedaad4008855f9a771d3e04ad23f6 Take care, Jim > > I would like to buy a used Dan -built emem2 (or emem3) machine in very good condition. Guest guest
I spoke with Dan recently, and asked him specifically if I could use my own frequency generator with his current EMEM model. He was very clear in his warning that only the frequency generator he has chosen should be used, as he feels many others will possibly drive too much juice for his machine. He has it optimized for the lower voltage frequency generator he has chosen. Many of the frequency generators are running at 12.5 volts (including my own Progen II). He is definitely discouraging that, insisting that the lower voltage FG he has chosen is optimal for its interface with the EMEM. He wants the best compatibility. (Keep in mind, the frequency generator is not supplying the power for the voltage which is driving the Photon tube----lest anyone conclude that the lower powered FG is somehow delegating the EMEM device to " lower powered " status-------it takes a lot of juice to power that photon tube, and the EMEM machine is supplying that power.) This is not a problem, since he is basically selling the EMEM and FG at cost plus shipping. (I can certainly verify that, as I contacted the manufacturer of the frequency generator, to learn that the price they would charge me for a single unit is twice the cost of Dan is adding, to include it in his package!) 485.00 without the FG, and 535.00 for the whole works is so far below the prices for any other photon tube system out there, it is almost a giveaway. That is for a brand new system of course, So what would be the fair price for a used one, including the risk it is not in brand new condition? Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for posting this... Used machine prices are typically 60 - 80% of retail.. Sometimes you can find one for less, if so, try to find how many hours of use time is on it.. Seldom will you find any machine for less than 50% of retail value. Some use these machines a lot, some don't, so you could get a machine in like new condition and save some money.. Most important is know your seller! I haven't heard of any scams on these machines, but someone could take your money and not deliver on the machine. A safer bet is buying from someone on group, the used equipment site has the largest inventory of used equipment, the seller may or may not be a member of this group... http://www.drloyd.com/bb/viewforum.php?f=2 & sid=25fedaad4008855f9a771d3e04ad23f6 Check this site daily as it does change...
