Guest guest
Hi Jan My psychiatrist isn't familiar with Lyrica, so I will be seeing my family physician this wednesday. Hopefully, he will prescribe it to replace the Neurontin. If my family physician is unsure, I will see my neurologist for a medication consult. This is turning into quite a saga. Lyrica, is a new and improved version of Neurontin. I should be able to take less medication and then have fewer side effects. Several people in the group are having success with Lyrica. It works best for neuropathy pain. Oh, we have had snow here in southwestern Montana since October. Several weeks ago we had nights that were -30F at night. We rarely have more than 2 or 3 days in a row that is dark and gloomy. It can be unbelieveably cold here, but the sun will be bright and shiny. The Fairmont Hot Springs is a resort, that has an indoor and outdoor pool. It's about 12 miles from where we live. The water is 90-93 degrees, since it comes from the natural hot springs. I cannot tolerate water that is less than 89 degrees, so joining the Y or most health clubs is a waste of money. We buy a 6 month pool membership when we can afford it. My husband knows one of the managers and he gives us a discount price, due to my disability. I'll let you know when I finally change from Neurontin to Lyrica. I have very high hopes, that it will not only be more effective, but clear my brain! I desperately want to drive again. Kaylene Moderator Kaylene, What did you find out about taking Lyrica? I just started it and am anxious to hear how others like it. I always hesitate to take a new med. Seems like we are always trying new meds. but when new ones come out I guess that is the same to do. Local hot spring? Oh, you lucky. We still have snow here! This is the first day the sun has shined in 14 days. Now I am putting on a happy face to see that good sunshine. Hi to all and hope everyone is having a light pain day, Jan --------------------------------- Yahoo! DSL Something to write home about.
