Guest guest
Cam, I always heard that horses sweat, men perspire and women glow, lol. I guess those southern sayings depend on where in the south you are. :-) hugs, Sundra LYNN, THIS IS AN ORDER......I WANT SOME BOOK TITLES FROM YOU. BE AFRAID.. ...BE VERY AFRAID...IF YOU DON'T SEND THEM. Menacingly, Camilla p.s. Fibro makes your inner thermostat crazy. I am usually much too warm and sweat....oh, I forgot...<My Mother always told me to say Ladies perspire. That sounds nicer. Guest guest
OK - whew, I'm afraid I have some favorite authors. Don't have many favorite books. Archer Mayor is a local writer, for us. He has a series of murder/who done it/mysteries based around a local police station, then on to a different branch of police work they have talked about but we still don't have. Cornwell, LaVyrle Spencer, , , Sparks and Dan Brown are the ones I look for... Oh, and if you want to laugh until you pee yourself, read Janet Evanovich's Plum series... what a laugh attack.. She was a lingerie salesperson but became a bail bond apprehension agent for her shifty cousin and she gets more cars blown up and her grandma's a real hoot! There's 10 of them out so far, also a Christmas one called Vision of Sugar Plums (I think) That should keep you busy for a few days... let me know when you need more and we'll go on to the B list. Lynn Lynn > LYNN, THIS IS AN ORDER......I WANT SOME BOOK TITLES FROM YOU. BE AFRAID.....BE VERY AFRAID...IF YOU DON'T SEND THEM. Guest guest
Dear Lynn......I have read all of the authors you mentioned. Not ALL of their books, but something by them. Okay.....I need some more. I think P. Cornwell is going awfully bloddy!!! Oh, I haven't read Archer Mayor...I just re-read your letter. There is a policeman in Chicago who also writes....I have gotten one book by him and it was okay...just okay. PLEASE PLEASE..... read Bel Canto by Ann Patchett and tell me what you think. And I am ready for the B list. Love, Cam p.s. STILL BE AFRAID....YOU CAN NOT TRUST ME. Lynn > LYNN, THIS IS AN ORDER......I WANT SOME BOOK TITLES FROM YOU. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better. Have a nice day everyone. Guest guest
Bel Canto was great. I listened to it on audio tape as I was driving the kids around this winter. I have to go to the Library as I can't remember the titles or name of the authors. I will let you know later this week. Janet Evanovich was a must read. Have you read hers? The new one just came out this week. Lynn Lynn > > > > LYNN, THIS IS AN ORDER......I WANT SOME BOOK TITLES FROM YOU. BE > AFRAID.....BE VERY AFRAID...IF YOU DON'T SEND THEM. Guest guest
Oh, I'm thrilled you liked Bel Canto. Now I don't have to kill you. What a relief!!!!! I am going to ask my caregiver to take me to the library tomorrow to get Janet Evanovich. Will be sure to read one. Your next assignment is either A Prayer for Owen Meany or if you want a shorter book ... The Solace of leaving Early. Remember I am still an evil woman and I will hurt you if you don't read these books. LOL Love, Cam Lynn > > > > LYNN, THIS IS AN ORDER......I WANT SOME BOOK TITLES FROM YOU. Guest guest
Lynn, dear.....I am all talk and no action. l really don't have any plans to kill you.....I'm sorry, but I don't have the energy. But I DO have the smelly burly henchmen at my disposal and if you don't read Solace I will be forced to send you 2 or 3 and you WILL BE SORRY. Do not stop being afraid!!!!! I didn't know Dan Brown had written a new one. I will go on Amazon today. Did I ever tell you my Amazon horror story????? After my last surgery I decided to buy a few books to help me convalesce. Well, I just kept clicking that mouse and when the bill came it was ...........$708. My husband nearly died and so did I. I couldn't believe I had bought so many.....it was sooooooo easy. Well, needless to say I didn't buy ANYTHING until the book bill was paid. But I did read all the books!!!! Thanks for the library suggestion.....,.I am hopeful that before TOOOOOO long I will be able to walk from the car into the building. This new brace is helping a great deal. Last night I finished " The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud " by Ben Sherwood. A beautiful book very reminiscent of the play " Our Town. " It is life affirming and family affirming.....poignant and heartwarming. Hope you get to read it. I'm so sorry that you are having some very sad realizations about your parents. That is obviously hard to take and is hurting you terribly. I'm proud of you that suicide is not an option for you. I had to go through that struggle, too. Please know that your worth as a woman is not determined by your parents and how they acted towards you. They seem to have many problems of their own....and telling you that you were not wanted is a huge indicator of how mixed up they are. No wonder you are having bad days. Hang in there and know that I care about you very much and want things to get better for you. You are a wonderful person. Guest guest
If you don't have the energy to kill me, I don't have the energy to answer the door. Another great book I read was O' Artful Death. It was written by a lady who lives up the road from where I live and she did a reading at our very small library. Very good book. Her name is . Dan Brown's isn't new, I don't think, just hadn't been in the library in a LONG time. I know what you mean about having a bill way too big for what you wanted to order. I have that problem all the time. Hope you are having a good day.
