Ellen, I soooooo know what you mean!

Sometimes I think these different diagnoses of bi-polar, ADD, are

all manifestations of BPD or other maladaptive personality

disorders -- maybe brought on by post-traumatic stress within

families.

I have my suspicions that the drug companies would have us believe

that there are all these different " chemical imbalances " and

disorders of the brain so that they can market all kinds of drugs.

When really, people need to look inward and do the difficult work of

managing their emotions, cope with anxiety and fear, and stop being

so self-indulgent and selfish with their behaviors -- such that they

terrorize everyone else.

I, too, haven't spoken to my mother for almost a year and it's

unsettling, but necessary.

After finding this site, I am even more resolved to step out of the

BPD roller coaster. It's such a relief to find it has a name and

you're not alone!
