Guest guest
Hello and group I had a look in the NICE guidelines, and low-dose brachytherapy is approved by NICE (27th July 2005) under the following conditions: - the man understands that it’s not clear how the procedure affects general health and the chance of the cancer returning in the long term - the man understands what is involved in this and the alternative treatment options - the man agrees (consents) to the treatment - the results of the procedure are monitored. High-dose is where the seeds are more radio-active and are removed after a short time, by the way. Low-dose is where they stay in. So maybe you need to update the people on the Protect study.
