Guest guest
E-Greetings: I read what you posted this morning, and it struck a cord within me. Trying to explain your current condition to people who don't understand is really difficult. You mention that your son thinks [snip]/My son is a fun loving 7 yr. old with a dad that thinks I am lazy because I can't do things that he wants to do. That hurts me more than my back. What do I tell him? How can I make him understand?[snip] / If you can access the Spoon Theory story[i believe there is a copy in our files] this story or your interpreted version might be a useful tool to deal with your child's lack of understanding. Also even though you are injured please consider and research activities that you and your son can still do! Now about being left-handed and not being able to handle your coffee cup. Earlier this year I injured my shoulder twice in the same area. It took some cajoling with various doctors in order for me to get not only answers, but ideas on how to exercise my arm and return to some form of normalcy. My shoulder has returned to the point where I can use as long as I understand that I now have limitations. I would ask if you have applied for any therapy? Working with correct knowledge on how to properly deal with a situation to me is better than not. Please consider getting/acquiring knowledge so you can live the best life you can. Be Blessed E.
