And with the new year, I pray that it will be a less painful one for all of us. Has anyone made any New Year's resolutions?? Mine is to try to be healthier and try not to yell at my kid so much, he's 15, if that tells you anything! he! he! he! It's been 6 years or so and I'm still waiting for this deep depression that's supposed to hit me after all kids are gone, I think it's called *empty nest syndrome*. Well, we're doing just fine without kids and go hiking up in the mountains all the time, we're having fun...:-) I'm proud to say that last year's New Year's resolution came true, I quit smoking and haven't touched a cigarette in a year now. The bad part is that I gained 20lbs and this year's resolution will HAVE to be to lose all that weight again. Eating and living healthier in general is another one that I've already started. I love healthy food, but hubby mostly doesn't. Has anybody seen that documentary about Mc's " Supersize Me " ? That will definitely help make the decision to eat healthier, I can only recommend watching it. Marita in Montana

It definately changed the way I feel about Mc's. Good luck with losing weight this year. And congratulations on quitting smoking!! That is great. I quit smoking when I had my first surgery on my back, back on February 18, 2003, and I haven't picked up a cigarette since then. Personally, I think that's a good thing. Now I just wish I could get hubby to eat the healthy things that I prepare, that's the real hard part..;-) >> Good luck with losing weight this year. Actually yes, but this year I'm calling them GOALS instead of resolutions. Goals to me are more easily attainable. Mine are as follows: 1- Learn how to cope with my chronic back pain in a more constructive way, have a better attitude, because this is for life. 2- Forgive all the people that hurt me in 2005 3- Smile at everyone I pass in public, for the world will smile back at me. 4- Try to walk everyday, no matter how much I hurt. 5- Get back into my hobbies, do things I love to do. That's all I can think of at the moment. I'm sure my list will grow over the next week or so. Leigh
