When I lived in London years ago (1990-91 to be exact), I would periodically

ask people on the upper deck of the city buses to stop smoking. A couple of

times, I thought a fistfight would ensue, such were the reactions I received

to this polite request.

I don't know about London, but I suspect it will be the same as all

other Cities now: No Smoking on any public transport!

In recent years there has been a massive 'ground swell' against smoking

in indoor public spaces.
