Guest guest
Hi all, Well...I had a double sucky day! I saw my pain doc this afternoon. I told him about my headaches...sometimes I wake up with one...it goes away sometimes if I throw up (sorry for the visual) and sometimes comes back again in the afternoon. Nice of it to come and see me again, don't you think? He wants me to have another sleep study while using my BIPAP machine. How dreadful is that? He suspects I might be having central apnea due to my pain patches. If I am...it could be the reason for my headaches. I am so scared...it I am having them...I will have to go off the patches. I'm afraid of withdrawal. But...if he starts me on narcotic pills...I shouldn't have withdrawal should I? Will they work well enough? The patches work around 75-80% of the time and I think that is pretty good. I will call my neurologist in the morning and have him order the sleep study. He also mentioned if I have to stop the patches and start another narcotic...I will need another sleep study. Really gives me something to look forward to! I need to talk to the neurologist's office also about blood test results from last week. I have had a high sed rate for about 9 months...had every test in the world done and nothing found...other than what I already have. I'm curious to see if it's still elevated. Does anyone else have a high sed rate? Thanks for letting me cry on your shoulders. Kay
