Just so everyone knows.................there is a pattern here......................There are MANY children that took Miralax that end up with the same tests ran. Can't these medical professionals see the pattern here? They were originally just constipated?

Example:

Urine specimn possible uti's (in many cases oxalate crystals and high calcium levels in the urine

VCUG tests (major invasive test for a child to check for reflux, IMO, caused by this medication)

Blood work for Kidney, liver damage, thyroid gallbladder, pancreas

Whole body ultrasounds to check their organsEEG Scans for seizures

These children just needed to poop? How can this be happening? The testimonies are in the archieves that began in 2001

To: miralax Sent: Sat, April 24, 2010 8:16:02 AMSubject: Does anyone know anything about amatiza?/ Update

I took my dd to a new GI doc this week, she seems to think that my dd doesn't get enough fluids so I am doing everything I can to increase her fluids, esp water. She suggested the flavored waters but I don't like those because of the artificial sweetners. She wanted to put her back on miralax and I said no so she suggested amatiza but also told me it was not approved for children yet so after my experience with miralax I don't want to use it. She checking her mag levels because they have been elevated. Right now we are still using milk of mag and citrucel but she is starting to get backed up, the doc could feel it but said she wasn't too bad yet. Enimea's don't work at all anymore. The doc did some blood work and we should know those results next week. She is checking her liver function because at one point it was highly elevated and she

is checking her thyroid and some other stuff. My dd still has very hard stools and blood in her stool from time to time. She has had blood in her stool since Dec. I may try those attune candy bars, but my dd doesn't like chocolate. I just want her to feel better. We also had her renal ultrasound and VCGU scan yesterday, we have good news there, no kidney damage and the reflux is gone. The doc was concerned about her holding her urine for so long, although I have been increasing fluids and that seems to help, Has anyone heard of this med amatiza before? Any advice at this point would be appreciated. Thanks Faith
