I was on Amitriptyline some time ago and it surely did wonders for the pain..

BUT.. I could not function as a person, I was just completely knocked out by

it.. that was fine for a short time as I was in severe pain and very ill; but

it would be a last resort for me.. normal life would have been out of the

question. I hope that it doesn't effect you that way, I think I must be

susceptible to that type of drug.

I just checked and I see I was on 75mg daily.. so maybe a lower dose would get

the pain but not the brain!

Do let us know how you get on with it.

ok, she put me on an Amitriptyline 10mg to start, she said we will or may have

to increase this in a few weeks....
