Hi !

Yeah, been there- haven't done that! You NEED to talk with someone,

now! Many of us in the group have been where you are, heck- maybe

all of us!

If you don't have a friend, co-worker, sibling to call or see,

PLEASE!! get in to see your doc fast. Just unload on him. If

can't get to see him, go to the nearest ER. You could call 911 and

have a little chat with the operator- they are friendly and very

knowledgeable about where/how to get some help for just about

everything.

Just take a minute and consider the rest of us. If you suddenly

just drop out of e-touch, well, gee willerkers! We're gonna miss

you and wonder how we offended you so much that you just dropped us

cold!

e-mail me if you want (llerweatherman@...), just remember I

don't get on-line everyday, but I'll be glad to talk back and forth.

Are you able to get out? It might be a good idea to do some

volunteering- ring the Salvation Army bell (they need help), read to

kids at the local hospital, help out at a local shelter; there are

all fairly 'easy' things to schedule. These places are happy for

any help and can work around your need. Think about it. Give it a

try!

So, where are you going for your Christmas vacation? Forget about

your pain- we all know where our pain will be- vacation or not!

GBY

I'vc been thinking more and more about suicide because it's just too painful to

go on and the fatigue is too much.

I am so sorry to hear you're hurting. I'm not married

either. I can truly understand how lonely and

difficult it can be to be younger and alone and

dealing with blind white pain.

Isn't there anything your doc or alternative can do to

help

ease the headache pain?

BE CAREFUL JACOB!

It's not the best idea to believe what you think when

you are going without sleep. Sometimes the pain and

lack of rest causes our own minds to turn against us.

You have folks that care about you here. Even people

who can understand. Hold out, . Be as aggressive

as you can be for your pain management.

If you can deal with the sun right now, try to get out

of the house. Go somewhere different. If you need to

stay home, get some funny movies and laugh as much as

possible. Or if you can't bear to look, try radio

plays like jack benny or bob hope.

My suggestions may not fit your need, but I want you

to know I care and am devastated that you're hurting

so bad right now.

Remember, too, that depression is real. Ask yourself

if you're depressed. FMS pain, migranes can lead to

some bleak places. Don't be afraid to argue with the

hopeless thoughts and feelings that bubble up. In my

depression, I know that there are some things I think

that I have to take with a grain of salt.

There is always something better in the distant

tomorrow. As for the Church people... they're just

people. The real support is just a little bit bigger,

just a little bit higher...

I started getting migraines at the age of 10, (I'm 53 now) & I just

came out of a 3-day migraine this afternoon. I know how painful any

kind of headache can be, and it will depress you and skew your

thinking. I also have fibro, CFS, & Spasmodic Torticollis (Dystonia

of the neck) - oh, & a recent DX of osteoarthritis, too. And, I'm

BiPolar II Mixed States, which can contribute to pain, even if it

doesn't directly cause it. I had Botox injections for the headaches a

couple of years ago, and they helped tremendously.

I've learned a few tricks to deal with headaches....some by accident.

When I was 16 & got a bad headache, it was the middle of winter, &

there had been heavy snow. I opened my bedroom window (which was over

my bed) and laid my head in the snow on the window sill & fell

asleep. When I woke up, the headache was gone.

Cold is good for headaches (I keep those icepacks on hand, the ones you shake to

activate), and being in total darkness. I've found that sound is extremely

disturbing when I have a bad headache, & run a small fan (for " white " noise) to

block out any sound.

Sleep, if you can get it, is very helpful too. Also, try to drink plenty of

plain water. My really bad headaches make my teeth hurt, & drinking ice water is

painful, though I love ice water. In fact, one of the first signs I'm going to

get a really bad headache is that all my teeth will start hurting.

I know how constant and horrific pain can make you feel helpless &

hopeless, but don't give up on life. And even if you can't see or

touch us, you do have a group of people here who care how you're

feeling, and want the best for you.

Take care,

cyn

You need help, dear. Life is hard enough to get through alone but,

much more so when you have chronic pain. Call your doctor and tell

her/him what you have been feeling and ask for help. There are

options available and you are entitled to them.

We here in this group understand the heartbreak and pain you are

going through and want to help you. Just tell us what we can do.

Dear

You need to get in touch with your PM Dr. as soon as possible. You need to tell

them about all of your thoughts - including the ones about suicide. If you are

honest with your Dr, they will help you I am sure.

If that is not an option, go to the emergency room and explain that you are

having depression issues and need a treatment (perscription) to get you through

to when you can get in to see your regular doc.

On a personal note, I too, suffer from time to time, the evil thoughts of how it

would be easier just to be done with it all. It's so hard to see the light at

the end of the tunnel but it is there - I (you) have to believe that! Take care

of yourself and be sure to check in regularly so we know you are hanging in

there.
