Guest guest
I just need to rant in a safe place. I have coworkers that drive me up the wall. They are such control freaks, they are jealous, they want to keep others down, so they will look good. They look over my shoulder, curious about what I am doing all the time. I am a teacher. I am not talking about the kids. WHY are schools such a BP, NPD magnet?????? Are teachers just so stressed they begin using manipulation and lying as very bad coping skills for a stressful job? I have one kid who is threatening to kill me, now. He is nine. I have stress, too, but intimidating other coworkers is not going to help, why do they think it helps to spread more indimidation? I love teaching, but today it seems to be too high a price. All day long, it seems I have to defend myself. I try to do a really good job, and mind my own business, and what does it get me? People are suspicious and just get plain nosy. I find it irritating, mainly because having a mental illness in the family, I have learned you can't control what others do, so I feel really irritated when other seemingly educated people try to control others. Why can't they just grow up and get a life???? Sorry, I had to vent that frustration. I have so LITTLE patience with adults who are stuck in the same developmental level as the kids they have in their classroom. Very little. Not all schools have a LOT of teachers, like these. The one I " m in now has a lot. Some schools are nurturing places where you can feel at home and not worry about someone stabbing you in the back. I hate that feeling, because I don't like to waste time " covering " myself and worrying about what someone might think. It makes me feel more secretive, and then I think I may be paranoid. I hate being paranoid, but sometimes it is a realistic thing, and not just imagined. Thanks for letting me vent and I'm sure next week will be better. Right now I want to run off and join the circus or something. Or maybe be a hermit somewhere in the mountains. B.
