I am in the one with the tethered cord. I was diagnosed at around 25 also and it is really hard to handle and very scary when you are losing function and then you are suddenly give this news which is overwhelming. I can relate to your son as the situation is similar and I can relate with you as a Mother. I have seen a therapist and yes it really has helped me. I think your son should do what makes him feel better. Maybe he should post on the list, there are a lot of great people here with great information that can help him.
