Hi ,This is only my layman's perception and opinion: abx ultimately makes a bigger mess to clean up.It delays true healing, by driving the critters into hiding (fron 6 to twenty yrs, I've been told.)To me, hitting chronic lyme with abx is like running up a big balance on your credit card. The perceived wealth of healing is pleasant, but eventually the card maxes out and the accumulated interest will have to be dealt with. You're probably killing the right amount, if you're moderately herxing and you're carefully detoxing to help your organs safely do their jobs. The whole mainstream medicine attitude of the quick fix (ie. abx,) is a costly mistake for Lyme. Slow and steady wins this race. Check out S & C if you want to feel like you're killing more after this moon, but really, there's just so much dead stuff you can cram down the garbage disposal at one time, before the pipes clog up, and then you're only delaying recovery, not accelerating it.I usually up the killing when the moon starts to wane. (Gardeners say weeding is best at the waning moon, too.) And I ALSO UP MY DETOX, as the kill load will be bigger after the lunar pop. explosion. That's the way I maintain a fairly steady rate of recovery. (I no longer have roller-coaster rides, generally)Patience, and be well,LénaLena, That explains alot! I've been wondering the same thing. I've had really bad " flares " both last fall and this spring, since stopping antibiotics. Lots of us seemed to have these around the same time: September, and now February.

My interpretation is that when you're not on antibiotics, then the bacteria follow their yearly cycles, perhaps rising in number at times when they'd naturally jump from one host to another to increase the probability of transfer.

Maybe jimjax will have something to say about this. I have the impression that these cycles are sort of a good thing--you get a chance to get at a bunch of cysts because they turn back into spirochetes and are more susceptible to being killed.
