I can't remember who said it, but someone has talked about eating fermented foods (I think it's specifically homemade sauerkraut?? ). After my son reacted really well to Klaire Labs 100+ billion Probiotics, I was curious was each strain was and what it did. On the bottle label, it listed lactobacillus plantarum second with 18+ billion whatevers... When I looked into it, this is what I found out about it:http://www.probioti cs-lovethatbug. com/lactobacillu s-plantarum. htmlSo, I think the reason the fermented foods is working for the one mom and her dd (?) is because it's generating this particular strain. While actual food is better, a second best would be a probiotic with this strain in it.- Tracie
