Guest guest Report post Posted July 23, 2001 > I'm sorry for leaving the group but I am having a real hard time accepting this diagnosis. Hi Beth, Glad you came back. You will learn a lot from this group, but remember to just take it one day at a time. It is true you need to get your numbers lower but don't let it worry you if it doesn't happen over night. Worrying could cause other problems. Do the best you can and dealing with diabetes will get easier. You said that you were from VA. Where in VA are you located? I also live in VA near Lynchburg. Guest guest Report post Posted October 4, 2006 Kim, Welcome to the group. I'm a newbie myself, but have found a wealth of information and support here in the few short weeks I've been a member. What brings you to the group? Mine own story is a saga of nerve issues and broken bones. I'm basically a neuropathic and orthopedic nightmare. How old is your son? Mine will be 17 at the end of this month, and I know what you mean about how hard it is to do things with your child. I'm lucky in that both my son's father and my husband can drive the boy around and my husband helps me take care of the household. Otherwise, I don't know what I'd do! Look forward to getting to know you better. Hugs, a __________________________________________________
Guest guest Report post Posted June 11, 2012 If you check the archives, the last time you posted was in Sept. 2009 Then you must have gotten busy and dropped off the radar. We missed your sense of humour, in fact one of our members had commented about you some months back. Married with a daughter, and staying in great shape, wow! Lots to tell there I'm sure! At one time you were a veterinarian and you also worked in veterinary forensics. Do you still work in the same field? - Helen > > Hi Helen, >  > I think I had left the group shortly after getting married in 2008. >  > So it may be closer to four years since I had parted from the group? >  > Anyhow, still married to the same woman - we have a little daughter now. >  > Im also self employed now and a committed martial artist. >  > I was recently contacted by who had asked permission to use some of my older posts in a book he was writing. >  > I had asked him to send the relevant posts and re-read them and to see the stuff I was writing really opened up my eyes to the time and place I was at in myself. >  > I thought a revisit to the group to say hi and recalibrate. >  > (40 AS) >  >
