Guest guest
Pedia lax makes some fiber gummies that have worked well for my daughter when our normal routine with supplements isn’t cutting it. you can find them at the grocery store or pharmacy From: miralax [mailto:miralax ] On Behalf Of Ramkumar ThirumangalamSent: Monday, February 07, 2011 10:55 PMTo: miralax Subject: Update on 2.5 year old DD It's been around 3 months since I posted. This is where we are now. My now almost 2.5 year old DD was on and off Miralax for around 4-5 months when we found this forum and its possible side effects. Although we did not see her being affected by any of the side effects while she was on it, I never wanted to keep my daughter on any laxative for a longer period of time. I cut it cold turkey and started putting her on natural supplements(combination of Flaxoil & Natural Calm). There were some ups and downs here and there but overall she was doing ok until last October. Since October, she has been on Fruit Eze 2 tsps daily and Natural Calm 1/2 tsp and she was doing pretty good having BM's almost daily- a pretty good consistency (not hard at all) until mid December. Now for the past 1.5 months she has been having BM's sometimes every day or every other day or even 2 days but I could clearly say the quantity was just not enough. It is very obvious that she is not emptying her bowel completely. Though she does not complain of any stomach pain till now, I am concerned about the old stool backup. And today was yet another day of her not wanting to poop during her regular sit time in the potty after dinner. Whatever happened to fruiteze and Natural Calm! or could it just be her body has gotten used to both Fruiteze and Natural Calm that it is not even working anymore? But I have read posts here that kids were on for more than 6 months and it's been working pretty good. My daughter has been on it for around 3-4 months now.My husband wanted me to put her back on Miralax at least to clear the old backup stool and may be a very small dose as maintenance for couple weeks. I am not quite happy with this idea and I try to read through other posts for other clean out options. We had tried MoM in the past and we did not have success on it.Can someone tell me how effective Oxy Powder is for cleanout? And has anyone tried Fletcher's Laxative for kids? My friend suggested this to me this but I have not heard about it. Looks like it is senna based. Thanks,Sankari

Guest guest
We had tried Culturelle for kids in the past and also Good Belly Probiotic juice (those lil 2.5oz shots) and it made no difference. Guest guest
To : With Fiber Gummies don't we need to always make sure they drink lots of water? My daughter is not always consistent in drinking water. Always some good and bad days. Always need to find some ways to push more water. How does this Fiber Gummies work? Does it give bulk to the stool so they get the urge to go or does it make it softTo: miralax From: ramkumar_t_s@...Date: Tue, 8 Feb 2011 23:26:45 -0500Subject: RE: Update on 2.5 year old DD That was really helpful! Any other suggestions for probiotics other than kirkman's?To: miralax From: ctaj10@...Date: Tue, 8 Feb 2011 06:27:38 -0600Subject: Re: Update on 2.5 year old DD Have you included a quality probiotic? Many people here like Kirkman's - they have many chewables that work. We found success in Juice Plus gummies. - Tracie Pedia lax makes some fiber gummies that have worked well for my daughter when our normal routine with supplements isn’t cutting it. you can find them at the grocery store or pharmacy From: miralax [mailto:miralax ] On Behalf Of Ramkumar ThirumangalamSent: Monday, February 07, 2011 10:55 PMTo: miralax Subject: Update on 2.5 year old DD It's been around 3 months since I posted.
