Guest guest
Hello Wanda, I am so glad that you found us. Sounds like you have alot on your plate. I have acm/sm and I have a 14yr old boy who has acm. This is the place to be for answers, help and encouragement. I have a suggestion to the 25lb book bag. I think it is ridiculous that they are not given time to go back to their lockers between classes so they don't have to destroy their backs just so the school day isn't extended longer. Anyway, I used a rolling luggage carrier to haul my books across campus when I was in college. You can buy them at any office products store. Alot of business people use them to carry heavy briefcases or boxes here and there so it might be useful to her. I think they cost about $25 or more depending on how heavy duty they are. Mine was just a cheapy. Also I wanted to let you know that there is a kids acm/sm email list that your daughter might be interested in. I am the moderater but no adults, including me, read the mail so they can say what they please, within reason. My kids are on it so I am told if there is a problem but so far they have been really well behaved. Please let me know if she would like to sub and I will make sure it happens. I can sub her or she can sub by emailing chiari-kidsegroups Again, Welcome to the group and if I can help you in any way, just let me know. Love Ya Kathi/Bakersfield, CA rwdykat@... Guest guest
Wanda: I'm so thrilled to see you've joined the list. You will find there are many that post to this list. They are very good about their subject lines. It can help you decide if you do or don't wan't to read on, saving you from reading things you aren't especially interested in. I've found it to be very educational. I've also met some very nice people on this list, as well. I'll be interested to see what the Neuro says upon her return. Have you told Darcie yet? Give me a ring at the office tomorrow, if you get a chance. Take care, hugs, Pamela (Grandmother to , age 3, NS & friend to Darcie, Age 13 NS and ACM)
Guest guest
Welcome Vivian! Well, also, welcome to the long wait! It's worth every minute you have to wait, though. You can get started by writing down your dieting history, diet pills, doc supervised and other diets, etc. Also, I started early on the exercise and 64 oz of water a day. It helped. Also, got an assortment of samples of protein shakes from VitaLady and started trying them to see which to order. And then, hurry up and wait! Welcome! Guest guest
HI, On July 5 of this year someone posted a great paper called "Life with Fibromyalgia" It is for non-believers. I think you might like it. I will send a e-mail and see if the person who had it can put it on again. I made a copy, but is is several pages long and I just cant type that much. I hope it is still around and it will show up soon. If it doesn't, let me know and I will snail mail you a copy. Sheri

Guest guest
I have primary progressive MS and like you, the docs are opting for treating the symptoms as they arise. I am sorry to hear about the mother of your son, that is so hard. Hope to hear more from you in the future. Guest guest
hi malissa glad to have you with us we are a bunch of painers you are in the rite place donnie Subject: Newbie To: Hugs-N-Pain Date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009, 2:53 PM Hi, I'm new here. Thought I'd chime in. I don't get much aleep either. I've had spinal fusion from C5 to C7 with a plate and screws. I now have stenosis as well. I take tizanidine(best muscle relaxer on earth in my opinion), 4 mg. 1/2 a pill during the day, a whole one at night. For pain I have a 50 mg Fentanyl patch and take Vicodin for bleed-through pain. I'm on 15 mg of Prednisone for breathing problems and the anti-inflammatory properties help--I know because the lower the dose gets, the more I hurt. My name's Malissa, and I'm pleased to meet you all. Thanks for letting me join.
Guest guest
Malissa, Welcome to the group. I post in spurts, when I'm not too depressed. I have FM/CFS, DDD in my neck and lumbar spine and neuopathic pain in my feet. I am married, have 2 boys, 12 and 9 and live in Wisconsin. I worked as a pharmacist for 25 years until the pain got too bad. I am appealing my SSDI claim which really sucks. I take Avinza, fentanyl, oxycodone, tizantidine and trazadone. I look forward to getting to know you better. Alanna Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry Newbie Hi, I'm new here. Thought I'd chime in. I don't get much aleep either. I looked it up and I do believe they took those blood test for it and its come up neg. The part Im not sure is, if one has it are there other tests to check for it than the ANA and or Rheum factor. I know looking at all my bloodwork they show to be neg. If you have any other info, I would greatly appreciate it. Also Sharleen, I think it was, who was writing about needing a disgnosis... ...did anyone ever mention Rheumatoid Arthritis to you? Just wondered by a few things you said. Guest guest
Hi Malissa, Welcome to the group. You sound just like me and as a matter of fact, I just now posted about my C6/7 fusion and I even had the graft from my hip instead of using bone bank bone as it adheres better than the bone bank bone. So not only do I have more neck problems that I did before the surgery, I also have severe right hip problems too from the graft! As I said, can't win for losing. lol ~Tommie~ www.myspace.com/tommiejj PH, CFS, FMS, Diabetes, Sleep Apnea, Restless Leg Syndrome Don't waste energy second-guessing what you're missing or what can go awry.
