Guest guest
I am not a chemist but this is what I found...............am I reading this right? It's a string of ethylene oxide which states is a very hazardous substance............. Polyethylene Glycol is an addition polymer of ethylene oxide and water, represented by the formula: H(OCH2CH2)nOH, http://www.newdruginfo.com/pharmacopeia/usp28/v28230/usp28nf23s0_m66430.htm Polymers are made up of many many molecules all strung together to form really long chains (and sometimes more complicated structures, too). http://www.pslc.ws/macrog/kidsmac/basics.htm Although it is a vital raw material with diverse applications, including the manufacture of products like polysorbate-20 and polyethylene glycol that are often more effective and less toxic than alternative materials, ethylene oxide itself is a very hazardous substance: at room temperature it is a flammable, carcinogenic, mutagenic, irritating, and anaesthetic gas with a misleadingly pleasant aroma. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethylene_oxide
