Guest guest
hi bruce, i am pretty new here myself..i too was born with the " mark " on my lower back and although i never had back problems i started having patchy numbness on my right thigh in my late thirties which has progressed through the years to include the back of the thigh and butt and a burning pain in the foot but i could deal with it. im now now 55.. had my first mri in 96 and it showed the tethered cord, in my case , without any question...i injured myself at work also it seemed minor at the time,my left leg shot behind while working on a slippery floor...but the next day into night i was in extreme pain from my hip to my foot and i have not been able to work for 2 months now and i was questioned why i did not report it right away...hey some injuries do not present themselves right away, just like a bruise even though you might have hit the spot a day before. if i were you i would at least consult a workmans comp lawyer if you have not done so already. did the radiologist suggest your bulging discs might be touching any nerve roots? i really hope you do not have a tethered cord..luck to you
