Hi Cheryl I believe it would be a good suggestion for Jess to make. This is also about ethical and professional behavior. It wouldn't surprise me, if this same nurse says obnoxious things to mental health patients, Medicaid patients and so on. Nurses, must recieve a certain amount of hours each year in continuing education. I think accurate information about pain management, and ethical behavior would be 2 very good classes. One more thing, it isn't just nurses who need this instruction. Physician's need it too, so if this is a teaching hospital, have the interns, and residents attend too. Kaylene who is dusting off her old nurses cap. __________________________________________________
