Guest guest
I'm allergic to latex which is found in Bandaids, ACE Bandages, etc. It's hard sometimes to find plastic bandaids, I still react to those. Grrr. The Devin Starlanyl MD book mentions strange allergies connected to FMS. Dillion > I am also allergic to adhesive on bandages

Guest guest
I am also allergic to all adhesives, i get the same symptoms as you roberta excpet i try to take anything i need to have put on before my skin gets to sore.Longest i leave anything on for is 12 hours. Unless ie when i have had surgery etc it has to stay on. I have found i type of plaster(band-aid) that i can keep on for more than 12 hoursfor boots that do not bring me up in a red sore area which are for senstive skin but they can only stay on at the most 24 hours. I am senstive/allergic to adhesives that are ment for people who are senstive/allergic to use.Youname it if it has a adhesive i cant use it. they went to give me a tens mic on my last stay due to not being able to use meds for my pain as pg. and allergic to morphine, codine(which is what they would have let me try while pg) and asprin. And i said no point i cant wear the pads as my whole back turns red. As i tried one post op after my truma and well i was a mess. I did not really think it work for the pain while it was on anyway. well i went of the subject but i am to weird.lol Natasha > And I thought I was the only strange one that reacted to adhesives! > I guess this fibro causes us all to be weird. > > When I have adhesives (bandaids, steri - strips, tape, bandages - > like tegaderm, etc) my skin turns VERY red, starts peeling off, and > draining --- ouch! What happens with adhesives for you all?
Guest guest
Hi! I've never had problems with adhesives. I have two SalonPas on my ankle right now because the tendon has been burning lots lately. Right now it's my biggest pain. The package instructions of SalonPas do state not to wear it too often in a row. But I like it. My mother in law introduced it to us years and years ago. It's been around a loonnnggg time *G* BTW: If you have membership at a Costco club, they carry bulk quantities. And they are very inexpensive there. I love Costco! ) ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Earth is my home and animals are my family. Life is my religion and love is my example. Peace and freedom belong to us all.
