Guest guest
Carley, I'm so pleased for you:) love Fiona *~*~* Update Hello Ladies, I just got back from the Dr.'s office for my yearly pap and am just thrilled to death. Let me first re-introduce myself for some of the newbies. I have thought that I have had vv for the whole 5 years that I have been with my husband. I had not been diagnosed because I just thought I was young and this is what sex was all about, I only had pain on contact. This made our intimacy interesting but none the less painful. I have been misdiagnosed with clamydia by a Dr. in California who told me that she had seen prostitutes with a cleaner sexual health than mine. This Dr. never did a culture just speculated that because my vulva was swollen and red, and my urethra was a little red and irritated then it must be clamydia. I was furious and later got her fired for her actions. Anyhoo, we have learned to cope with this difficulty. I am lucky to only have it be POC. I think God must know that I wouldn't be able to handle all IBS, TMJ and VV together so he just let me know that it was there. :-) Now to my excitement.... I went to the Dr. and the minute she saw me she said that she had some info for me. We have never discussed the VV, we never knew what my problem was. She saw the show on CBS and said that she thought of me. That I had this and there was no doubt in her mind. However she did all the test and said that it is definately VV. I gave her a whole lot of information and she said that she would read through it all. This is the really good part. She said that she would give me a prescription for whatever course of treatment I wanted to pursue (within reason of course). She said that she was going to get some more information about what was out there and in the meantime she has given me a prescription for Estrace and Lidocaine gel. I was so happy because I had heard that most people have to go to several Dr.s before getting diagnosed and the first time I go to my regular GYN she tells me that she thought the same thing I did. This is a really little town in Texas and pretty conservative. I thought that I had a struggle ahead of me. Hopefully the Estrace will make things better and the lidocaine will make it more enjoyable. If these do not work then I will just go back to coexisting with my astroglide, calcium citrate, stretching and relaxation on my own. But none the less excited to try something else. Sorry I rambled just so excited. If anyone has any other treatment options that have worked for them (remember, I just have POC) let me know because if the Estrace doesn't work for me then I may try something else. Better get, ~~Carley~~ cafrost@... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ How many communities do you think join ONElist each day? http://www.onelist.com More than 1,000! Guest guest
Eight and one half pounds is too much for one week! I'd be interested in hearing other comments from members of this group. Update > A week ago I joined TOPS to get started dropping pounds. I decided to try to limit myself to 1500 caleries. 100 grams of carbs, 2600 mg sodium and fats I have no idea what to set at. I did preety good all week on the diet, exercised 4 times this week and went to the meeting tonight sure I had lost weight. I have lost 8 1/2 pounds in 1 week and they had me do the weekly program tonight and explain what I was doing!!!! > > > >

Guest guest
Re: Update ---My doctor has me on the 1500 calorie diet also. It took me about 2 weeks to lose ten but I always loose more in the first couple of weeks. Madge, I figure if I drop 1 or 2 pounds a week I'll be happy!!!!! Guest guest
---That is the norm after the initial drop. One to two is what I expect to lose as well as I mentioned in that same post. Guest guest
Hi , You are doing great. Just a reminder, don't get discouraged if you don't lose any some weeks. That is normal. Just keep up the good work and you'll reach your goal. Eunice

Guest guest
Congratulations on your workout progress. I have not even started thinking about christmas yet, have been too overwhelmed with today to worry about tomorrow or next week. Have continued to do my tae bo. 4 days a week now after work with my nurse who is just starting, wo we are doing the basic tapes, but I use hand weights and double timing to push up the intensity, then 2 days a week on my own. This week did tae bo live advanced, and my abs and butt are still sore. Yesterday did tae bo extreme, love that workout...Wish the best for your daughter, men!!! Delana ________________________________ From: tae-bo_on on behalf of Charlotte Sent: Mon 12/5/2005 10:49 PM To: tae-bo_on Subject: update Moved up to 14 minutes workout and 3 minutes abs. And it was exactly the right amount, and intensity. I've got muscles feeling swollen, and drained...exactly as it should be. I've got all the major Christmas stuff taken care of. Now to get a small Rosemary bush for the tree, and to do the menu for Christmas day. All gifts are wrapped, all gifts are sent, or being taken care of. Now I can enjoy the season without a lot of pressure. My pregnant daughter is having problems with the father of her child. He's not quite ready to be a father, apparently ---despite having one already by someone else-- she's given him that he either shape up or she's coming home. Here. I miss her, but I know that her coming home is a step backward on the road to being independent. And the baby needs to know his father....so while it's the best for them, for them to stay, I have to be careful about not trying to influence her to come home. It's best for me, but not best for them. Charlotte As Deb has said: " Fitness is a journey and it begins with the first step.
