Subject: new on this, what is working so far

Hi All,

I wrote about 2 months ago regarding

my 3.5 year old constipation asking for advice and tips to get her off of

Miralax. She has been off of Miralax and she is doing GREAT!!! I also noticed

that her behavior changed for good after we stopped the Miralax. It took about

a week to start seeing the changes and to get her " back " . I am so

happy with the results and I thank you all for the great advice you gave me.

This is what it has been working so far:

- Flax seed oil, is probably one of the best things to try. I make smoothies

with fruits and mix it in.

- Stay away from dairy product, specially milk and cheese. I switched my

daughter to goats milk. I am also giving her Kefir milk.

- Probiotics

- Letting go of the pressure. I believe that part of my daughter's problems was

psychological, not all of it but some of it. I was getting to stress about it

and I finally let go of it. I told her that she was the boss of her poops and

that she was the one that had to do it. It helped reading her some books about

the issue (everybody poops and it hurts when I poop)

- Lots of water.

- Lots of vegetables and fruits (esteemed beets are very good)

- Apple juice

THANKS again for all your help.

Ana
