14 hours between meals

Hello - I work in a behavorial health mental facility in Florida and it has

come to my attention that we can go no longer than 14 hours between meals.

Does anybody know anything about this? Also, I was under the impression

that if there was a snack served at night, that that could count as a meal.

Is this the case? Any suggestions/recommendations would be great!
