What kind of sleep problems does everyone /anyone have?

I can't go to bed before 1 or 2 AM and then only sleep about 3 hrs at one

time, and am up and awake...this happens several times during the nite, and I

usually wake up about 8-9AM and am totally exhausted but force myself to get

up....I also cannot get into a comfortable position without any pain..I like to

sleep on my stomach and used to be able to, but now I have bad lower back pain

when I do, that I can hardly turn over...

SLEEP.....What's that....LOL right now I'm in a 4-5 hour sleep phase

which isn't good as with out the REM sleep cycle my pain is harder

to control. I can always tell when I've missed the REM sysle as I

wake so tired and tho I want to go back to sleep, can't. And then I

try to get up......wrong decision but my whole day will be decided

right then and there. I can lay there a dwell on my pain or decide

to get up and start my day....which may be only to make it to the

kitcken and start my caffiene 'fix'....LOL but from there on every

decision to do something is easier....of course that is also after

my morning pain meds kick in too. and it's a healthy dose that would

knock most people for a loop. I take oxycontin 60 mg with 300 mg.

nuerotin and two endocet and zoloft not to mention my 'other'

presecriptions for other maladays I have. And I do that three times

a day..but I can do sooo many things while it's working....even

drive a car. tho I don't.

But if I lay in bed and dwell on pain......my day is lost. Even

when the meds kick in I'll have that " pain fog " that I'll carry with

me all day and the littlest task can look like a all day chore.

Hmmmmm.... sleep??? Oh yes, I remember that from long ago <g>.

I can't get to sleep til about 1 am and then I awaken multiple times

a night. I also have started with leg cramps at night, not to mention

the hip/pyriformis area acting up and keeping me awake since I can't

get comfortable in any position. Not much good rest at all. I get up

at 5:30 - 5:45 am to get my kids breakfast and then I go back to

sleep at about 8 am and nap until about 10 - so hard to get up.
