Guest guest
Hi, can you tell us why you will be having a myo following your embolization? Did you not have any shrinkage or any relief of your symptoms? Leonie Anitahw@... on 09/28/2000 10:45:34 AM Please respond to uterinefibroidsegroups To: uterinefibroidsegroups cc: (bcc: Leonie J Finkel/New York/WSP & R) Subject: Myo I have been in denial for a while when it comes to the pain and uncomfortableness I feel with my fibroids. After my embolization last year, I was certain I would be able to concieve and there would be no pain and the fibroids would shrink considerably. Now I am at the point of having a myo and I am terrified. The scar, being off for 6 to 8 weeks, etc. Please give any insight. After only being married for a little over a year, we would like to have kids and I am almost 37. Please help! ______________________________________ This message, together with any attachments, is intended only for the use of the individual or entity to which it is addressed and may contain information that is legally privileged, confidential and exempt from disclosure. Guest guest
Anita: I do not have any information regarding embolizatin and fertility. But I have had three myos and couldn't conceive naturally. I always got a lot of scar tissue each time that prevented me from conceiving. I do know people who got pregnant after UAE and myos so I know it is possible. Have you tried IUI or IVF yet? I did IVF in July and got pregnant on the first try. I still have fibroids and when I got pregnant I actaully few a third one. But it is possible to get pregnant with fibroids. Guest guest
Hi, I'm 35 and just discovered my fibroids at a12 week scan when I was pregs. I lost the baby at 19 weeks. I am now going to have a myomectomy. Can you tell me, are you in the UK, who was your surgeon if you are? Guest guest
---I am going for my myo on November 6th and have been told due to the size of the fibroid (size of 21 week preg) and location (in my uterus) it probably has ruined my fallopian tubes so ivf would be the answer....anyone else have this problem?? Guest guest
Janine as I stated below the its not the fibroid that affected my tubes it has been the scar tissue from myos. With each surgery my RE did reconstruct my tubes but because of the scar tissue the sperm has never made it through the tubes so that i why I did the IVF. Guest guest
Yes, I did take Lupron before the myo, and no, I'm not British. I live in Chicago. Sorry if I am the one who triple-posted. AOL kept shutting down right before I was ready to send my message. My message was not posted when I got back on the uterinefibroid board, so I thought it didn't go through, but it sounds like it did for those who get their posts through e-mail. Sorry. > >> I have been in denial for a while when it comes to the pain and > >> uncomfortableness I feel with my fibroids.
