Jeanie,

Thanks for the info.  I will check out Pfeiffer T.C.  I am in

Oregon...wonder if they do long distance work?

I am afraid to get my hopes up but I have seen a wildly happy kid last

night and this morning.   I was even able to tell her "NO" about her

breakfast choice and she did not attack me.  I can not yet say for sure

that it is the new probiotics....nor that it will last....but I

honestly do have my hopes up that the newly added probiotics are

helping.

Angi, is there any way you can have her copper level checked? H

checks for biochemistry. this sounds like our dd. they found she has

elevated copper and a zinc deficiency. Elevated copper causes this kind

of behavior.

probiotic question

hi everyone,

thanks for your replies.

my girl was on kirkman's for about a year but she kept getting strep.

i was afraid of "pandas" and she was afraid of yet another swab to the

back of the throat so i stopped.  i am sort of afraid to start them

again.

both yesterday and today she had big balls of poop.  This is a lot

better than normal...usually no poop without laxative.

she also has been a bit less testy and maybe even a bit happier!??!?

!?!  (2 days)

I hope we continue to see some improvements from culterelle and attune.

She is on THREE meds, has sensory OT, has a therapist, goes swimming 2x

a week for sensory stuff, has a trampoline for sensory stuff, and still

rages and attacks us.  However, YESTERDAY NO ATTACKING ALL DAY.  Today,

it was MINIMAL.   She has a behavior chart and gets 5 stickers for a

full day of no attacking us so I keep close track of the beating

traumas.

Anyway, thanks so much for all of the help and support.

Angi, Some Chiro's have a computer that will show which

probiotics and supplements are compatable with each persons body

It's called the intero machine. It seems to be right on, the results

were the same as what blood work showed as far as corn allergies etc.

She may be reacting to an ingredient in the probiotic. You need  to

find out what is in them. Gluten, corn, dairy, etc.

Kirkman makes the best I've seen without all the additives.

It's kind of like a hyperallergenic probiotic. I do believe they can

stir up something as my dd always seemed to come down with a similar

strep kind of condition and the probiotic had the strep strain in it.

Although, after giving several times, now she doesn't get sick upon

taking them, almost like she built an immunity to it?

As far as the canker sore, I think it has something to do with

the acidity and bacteria in the stomach. You see one pop up when you

intoduce a probiotic but I really think the probiotics help. They seem

to be less and less since starting the probiotic. We saw them more

without one.

probiotic question

I dont suspect it is related! 6 days later!!

It sounds like she is viral and that well as we know cause fussiness.

Also virus's well slow, even just about stop the perstalisis(

contractions) in the intestines in some. I would wait it out or if you

feel leary stop the probiotics until she feels better. I feel the

probiotics well help speed the viral recovery though! Whenever my son

shows signs of illness I give him olive leaf extract. But I would wait

until she is well then test it. In some if there has been antibiotics

etc there could be die off symptoms. My son has never had this! Do you

use magnesium or aloe juice? These are both calming for the body! I

hope she feels better! As for the fussiness maybe put her in an epsom

salt bath. Jennie<><

Thanks for this information, Jeanie!!  I put

her on this probiotic http://www.countryl ifevitamins.

com/moreinfo. cfm?Category= 9 & Product_ID=122 which she seems to

tolerate well enough.  Please let me know if I am on the right

track.

Get the book the yeast connection. Always read the

labels and stick to the doses of oils and antifugals. Some of the oils

are concentrated and need to be mixed with a buffer. Probiotics help

without the use of an antifungal as they can be hard on their kidney's.

Kirkman Labs can assist you with this question and offer some

assistance.

Natural antifungals- which ones are safe for 3 year olds??

Hello all,

Knowing this group is super knowledgeable, can someone please help me

with antifungals for my 3 (4 this july) year old. I have always suspect

some yeast/candida issues. He recently had a ringworm on his face and

its not healing very well. I head about garlic, oregano oil, black

walnut, pau d arco, caprilic etc..... but am afraid to give to him???

Please let me know your experience and products that you liked. I just

started him on kyolic garlic and pau d arco.

Thanks so much,
