i HAVE SAID this before.......but maybe should again. Have u checked out if you

are allergic to sulfites? Do you eat a lot of carbs? Both these cause tons of

swelling. My sister's legs were like my waist... and with diet...........are

down... dramatically. Some of us can't eat all that the American diet allows.

dash

Rheumy let me down....

I saw my rheumatologist again yesterday and go nowhere as far as pain meds

go. He gave me an additional presrip for *5*mg. of flexeril to take 3 times

a day and told me to take tylenol on really bad breakthrough pain days. He

said he didn't like to prescribe narcotic pain meds. I also showed him

where I am getting pockets of severe swelling on the muscles in my upper

calves and he said to cut back on my salt. I promptly told him that I did

not eat any salt now! I know from reading that swelling like that can be

lymphedema. We tried to mention that (my husband was with me), but got no

where.

I am not sure what to do. I hate doctors and I hate trying to find a new

one, but this one isn't working out. I also had to wait 3 hours.

I am afraid that no one will help me with the pain because of my mental

health meds. Especially now that my pdoc doesn't want me to take any pain

meds.

I guess I am meant to hurt.

:-(
