I don't want that, they want me to clean her out with miralax but it didn;t work the two years she was on it and her SID and her behavior has gotten so much better without the miralax, they also want me to give her 6 more eniema's in the mean time she has just had 6 but the x-ray shows her not cleaned out. I don't know what to do at this point. I am waiting for them to call back, I gave her milk of mag this morning. My husband is out of town and he will back this evening we are going to talk about what to do next at this point, We want to take her to cinninatti but her insurance wont cover it and we cant afford it. There are only two gi practices in our city and she has seen both of them. I am putting it in the lord's hands and for now we have to just wait. I will keep trying different things at home to get her going. She sometimes goes it is just always so hard. Sorry to ramble so much I don't even know if all of this makes since. It has been a hard week or so. He did struggle with constipation on occaission but was treatable. Typically it is diagnosed as a baby due to no stool passage. At 5yrs he had a severe reaction to vaccines and this is when his intestines went really bad.. Im very sure the reaction damaged the intestines mostly. Then this lead to tests and then the HD diagnoses. My son is a rare case in late diagnoses(is becoming more commen in older ages now, gi admitted this, I believe it is due to more vaccines and at older ages now). It took 3 rounds of biopsy times to get diagnoses, each time was a deeper biopsy. I have my thoughts/theory as why on that(3 times). Treatment for HD is colon removal. This can be from a couple of inches to feet. At this time they suspect at least 8 inches for our son, until they go in and test more during surgery it isnt always for sure how far up. We are still to have this part done. He is at the time with an iliostomy. I pray your daughter doesnt have HD and that a simpler way is found/treated for her! My daughter who went to school for massage gave me a basic massage to do with my son and it does help. We do other things as well. She said she was not certified nor did she learn to do the more in depth technique but there is a specific massage for chronic constipation.
