Guest guest
Hi. I saw a few posts on the topic of the thyroid gland and decided to jump in with a question that has been nagging me for many years now. Off and on for the past 10 years (since I have been sick with Lyme), my FT4 has always been in the low range and dips below normal often. On the flip side--- my T3 is always in the high range and has even gone over a couple of times. I have been to 4 endocrinologists and they all just scratch their heads! None of them feel my numbers are off enough to medicate me. And they have all ordered their own " extra " test (thyroid uptake, RT3, pituitary gland scan...) which all came back normal.... so I have been told " it's just what YOUR body does, so it's " normal " for you " ..... and " let's just watch it " ..... Meanwhile.... I live life on the edge of dysfunctional. Living life is a daily struggle. ALWAYS tired and sleepy. ALWAYS overwhelmed with normal life situations (grocery shopping, etc...) and depressed. I have tested positive for Lyme, so I know that is an issue. BUT on top of treating the Lyme in and of itself, I feel I need to figure out what body organ/function it is messing up and treat that as well. Thanks in advance for your input!
