I'm at a loss and just don't know what to do. My DD is currently taking:

Miralax, Ditropan and Terazosin for issues with constipation and bladder. She

was dx'd with kidney reflux when 18 months old and at that time it was seen on

the xray that she was severely constipated. She was started on Kondremul for

about a year or so as well as some low dose antibiotics for the reflux. The

kidney reflux has cleared, but now that she's 5 1/2 she has had many pee

accidents a day, urine retention after she pees - hence the ditropan and

Terazosin. She got wonderfully better for about 2 months, but docs don't want

her on both meds and when we started to slow one of them down - she got worse.

She's had an MRI to rule out thethered spine and she's have some more testing on

the bladder in a few weeks. My concern (in addition to all the bladder stuff)

is that the Gastroenterologist has had her on Miralax for many many months and

said that she can stay on it for a lot longer. However, at the last appointment

in October she said that she didn't need to see her anymore as she wasn't going

to " chase the pictures " meaning the xrays. the constipation is making the

bladder stuff worse - but what is the miralax making worse? I'm just not sure

what to thinking anymore. In all of my " googling " on the subject - I came

across a posting where someone mentioned this site. Any insights anyone could

provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading.
