Guest guest
In case you haven't visited this site before, there is a wonderful web database that lets you search a product and/or ingredients used in cosmetics, soaps, shampoos, etc. http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/ When you search for polyethylene glycol you will get quite a few hits, but here is what I find that provides enough information to convince me that this chemical should not be injested. POLYETHYLENE GLYCOL PEG-3350 http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/ingredient/725821/PEG-3350/ (the link may not take you into the database, you may need to research for PEG-3350 It is listed as a moderate hazard -- and that's for <b> topical application -- not ingesting it! <b> This ingredient: (risk) 1) Violations, restrictions & warnings 2) Contamination concerns - ETHYLENE OXIDE, 1,4-DIOXANE 3) Other moderate concerns for this ingredient: Organ system toxicity (non-reproductive) 4) Lesser or emerging concerns for this ingredient: Data gaps http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/ingredient/721388/PEG-100_STEARATE/ As with many medical situations in our country, people seem to want to visit their Dr and receive a prescription for something that will make the problem disappear overnight. I think we can all agree that this is not the way to achieve good health. In many(most) cases, the holistic recommendation of plenty of liquids, check for mineral or vitamin deficiencies, and other more natural interventions is the better way to achieve good health.
