Usage of LPG cylinder - domestic for gas cutting

Mr Prasad,

Restriction of usage of 14.2 kg

domestic cyl for gas cutting is not because of any

technical reasons rather it is commercial matter !!!

One can not use  14.2 KG CYL SUPPLIED BY PSUs ( I.e. IOCL, HPCL, BPCL ) for any other purpose

than  domestic cooking  as this is subsidized commodity.  As the objective is very clear i.e to give LPG at controlled prices to a Common Man

of the country.

Time and again PSUs

and MOPNG issues notices in news papers . Recently

such notices appeared in all newspapers, which is enclosed herewith .

Legally

usage of domestic cylinders i.e 14.2 kg cyl marketed by PSUs can not

be used other than domestic purpose can be backed up by  Gas control order -2000 ( Sec -3 ,

Essential commodity act -LPG - Regulation of Supply and Distribution of

gas )  & control order about

illegal use of PSU cyls for Auto and vehicle

use.

Meaning 14.2kg cyl

can not be used for any commercial ( i.e

restaurants, canteens, Party plots , dhabas ,  Lari Gals etc )

or industrial purpose ( i.e gas cutting, at

industries / factories as a fuel ) etc or as vehicle fuel

One can use

any other cylinders ( except 14.2kg cyl ) marketed by PSUs, parallel

marketing cos like Super Gas, Reliance,

Shell etc.  for

all usages including gas cutting also.

(domestic) should not be used in gas cutting work in industry? Kindly support
