My body has not adjusted to the hot heat and humidity. I stay inside as much as I can, but then I get depressed because I don't want to go outside to walk around the yard. Actually its the sun that gets me, and that really put a damper on my two favourite activities, Sailing and Scuba diving :-( Well now I would not be caught dead or alive in a bathing suit, so I dont have to worry. Heck, I know what you mean about being depressed. Florida gets wicked hot in the summertime, that is for sure, and I dont go out unless I have to go to the doctor. Guest guest Posted May 20, 2004 Report Share Posted May 20, 2004 hi brenda and dorothy , this is gail i'm in the st.pete area i've lived down here since 1969 and i'll tell ya the weather then was awesome!!!! it was beautiful down here! now it's nothing but a sweltering steam bath i hate it. every afternoon you could tell what time it was by the rain showers faithfully. we could leave the windows open almost yr. round and there was always a breeze. now yer lucky if you can go 1 month with no ac. back in the 60's and early 70's air conditioning wasn't very popular here everyone had jealousy windows . things have changed so much. i work out in the heat now and i hate it my reumy says fibro and heat don't mix well boy i have to say she is right there! take care ya'll suthernsnail gail > Hi , > > I live in Lehigh Acres, FL.
