I have only been told to not eat for 8 hours before it is done. I haven't ever had any problems with the ERCP. Guest guest Posted August 31, 2001 Report Share Posted August 31, 2001 I had a mrcp and ercp on the same day last January. The ercp was unsuccessful as they were unable to get the wire in. Other than that the ercp was uneventful. They are talking about doing another one and I'm not really interested, there are lots of down sides to an ercp. They really want to come in from the other side??? Outside of all that I've never had a problem with the ercp, except I hate the nite before prep. Ron still has some concentration & memory problems, but nothing like when he went to the men's room at work & didn't know where he was when he came out.
