Guest guest
That's ok, Suzanne. I don't think you're being nosy at all. Here goes the full range of symptoms I have had since February: abnormal posturing of hands & feet; dancing eyes; balance problems; shaking when walking (I attribute this to cortisone); blurred vision; falling down for no reason; worsening migraines (cannot tolerate noise); pain in bottom of feet (like walking on sharp rocks); agitation; confusion; inability to judge distances; insomnia (and at the same time being overly tired even when sleeping normally!); trouble concentrating (when driving, when working). From everything I have seen on Chiari, I don't have anything that ISN'T attributable to Chiari -- the list of symptoms, I can go through and check off lots of stuff. So I really don't understand, either. I think maybe the reason he thinks it " can't be caused by Chiari " is because my herniation doesn't press on the spinal column. But what he doesn't seem to understand is that these symptoms are REAL. Hope this helps answer your question. I was quite confused, to tell you the truth, too. Donna Confused Hi (I forgot to write your name down, sorry), I was very surprised to see that Dr. Oro discounted your symptoms. I live in Missouri and found the doctors in St. Louis not very well informed on Chiari, so I was happy to see Dr. Oro knew his stuff. Or, so I thought by reading his website. Now, I'm confused because I'm surprised he told you what he did. He confirmed you had Chiari, but he didn't think your symptoms were caused by it. What kind of symptoms do you have that he didn't agree with? I don't want to sound nosy, but since I like to keep track of who I think are good doctors in this area, I'd like to know what's going on there. I have been wanting to compile a list of doctors to recommend in Missouri and Central and Southern Illinois in case other people need to know.
