Hi ,

My name is Colleen and I was Dxed last fall. I've had

UC since 1984, age 16 and have a similar family tree

-- an aunt with systemic lupus, another aunt with

granuloma of the skin, another with recently dxed PBC,

and my mom has an auto-immune thyroid condition. On

top of that we have all had our gall bladders removed

for hereditary malformations -- elongated cystic

ducts, plus a few cousins with hashimoto. I think the

same thing about our family -- study us all together,

and there are bound to be genetic markers or clues to

all these diseases.
