Guest guest
That's great that the VA is helping you out! What a blessing to get some good news like that. I went for my SSDI medical exam Tuesday, and the doctor wouldn't look at the paperwork I brought explaining my condition (He just glanced at it and said " oh, I never heard of THAT. " ) He asked me questions, then interrupted before I could finish answering them. He asked me to do things I couldn't do, like squat down, stand on my tiptoes, clasp my hands behind my back. Then he said " well good luck " and walked out. Two hours in the waiting room, examining room, and that's it. Social Security asks for all your medical records in detail, then sends you to some guy who has no clue, and I'm sure he will sign the rejection notice personally. Keep pluggin' along! The last time the VA sent me to a doctor he didnt really look at me much either but did tell them that my RA had definitely advanced from the first time evaluated. I will be praying for you... Guest guest
Judi, He'll sign the rejection notice personally, huh? Ha. Try to think positive. Something great may come out of that visit ... you never know. I hope things work out for you. -. [ ] Althea's good news > That's great that the VA is helping you out! When I went to the VA doctor last August he did a cursory exam of me that lasted 5 minutes...had the nurse take pictures of all my scars from surgeries and said bye bye... I thought he would have me try and do all those things you talked about - bending over and touching my toes but he didn't. And look 9 months later they have upped me to 80% for my RA and 100% because I am unemployable. It isn't a great deal of money but enough that Jay and I are at least our head above water. We can go out to dinner once a week now and not worry about how we are going to pay the bills. It has been a long time coming. I am praying taht you will get some good news soon. Guest guest
Judi: It is good to see you posting.....just a thought.....I saw several SS docs before my approval and something to keep in mind is that these docs are paid by SS, even tho they say they are impartial they recieve their paycheck from SS, that is why it is so important to keep copies of all of " YOUR " docs notes and records, as what your doc says is considered in your case and as you see them on a continuing basis as opposed to a one time visit they do have a large influence on your case.....I remember also being confused as to why SS would tell me my records were not required for the visits with the SS docs but apparently this is the norm as I was told the same thing as you, only SS told me not to bother bringing my records as they had the information already and wanted to see if their docs agreed with mine.....Judi don't give up and don't let them stress you out....keepin fingers crossed....Kathi in OK > That's great that the VA is helping you out!
