Dear Mr.Kuldeep, Its IS 3696 - Code of Practices for scaffolds and ladders. Dear Friends & Respected Engineers, Can we have a discussion on usage of LPG as an alternative for DA in metal cutting process. Q No 1: Is there any legal aspect that forfeit this? Q No 2. Based on the Explosive range LPG is found to be safer than DA, so can we consider the usage of LPG for cutting as a safer practice? Kindly please share ur opinions.. Q No 1: Is there any legal aspect that forfeit this?

no legal aspect forfeit this if you use the commercial LPG cylinders.

Q No 2. Based on the Explosive range LPG is found to be safer than DA, so can we consider the usage of LPG for cutting as a safer practice?

this is a wrong assumption. if any LPG leak occurs during its usage and if the volume is higher and the mass become too rich (above the UEL) and it will not catch fire immediately. But it will get diluted slowly and it catch fire once its concentration falls within the explosive rage and results in flashback. this is a hidden hazard in the use of LPG. such possibility is not there in DA because of its wide explosive range.

correct me if I am wrong
