We, pricol as a responsible corporate citizenwishes to promote eco awareness and application through the following activities.1. Issuing of saplings - 3000 Nos. (Plant – I, III)2. Taking environmental pledge by all of us on 06-Jun-2006.3. Non conventional Energy resources exhibition.4. Environment protection - Training program The following works have been done during last year to protect environment:WATER: Ø Sewage Treatment Plant is upgraded so that the treated water can be usedfor toilet flushing. Ø Saves32.4 million ltr water per annum. Ø Effective ETP and Reverse Osmosis system is put in place at premier platingshop. Ø Saves 1.8 millionltr water per annum. Ø 250 KL of water is conserved per annum by converting spray type intoPAD cooling system in pressurized air system. Ø Drip irrigation system saves 4.8 million ltr water per annum.Ø Spindle type taps replaced with stick type FAUCETS in hand wash area.5.7 million ltr of water saved per annum. Ø Rainwater harvesting facility created to store 1.5 million ltr. Ø Auto flushing system introduced in urinals. ENERGY: Ø Energy conservation by recovering energy from waste exhaust gas fromgenerator. Ø About 5,00,000 units of energy saved per annum. Ø This prevents 550 Tons of CO2 release into the environment.Ø Optimizing Air compressors through (MSCS) Multi Compressor control System. Ø 2,30,000 units of energy conserved per annum. Ø This prevents 250 Tons of CO2 release into the environment.Ø Replaced the 100 TR reciprocating Chiller with energy efficient 80 TRScroll chillers. Ø 90,000 unitsof energy conserved per annum. Ø To prevents 90Tons of CO2 release into the environment. PLANS FOR 2006-07: Ø Make bricks by usingsolid waste generated from plating process. Ø Harvest more rain water at Plant – I. Ø Introduce solar steam cooking system. Ø Implement energy conservation measures to conserve energy about 3.8 Mnunits per annum. Proposed investment will be Rs. 2.3 Mn.Ø Recycle STP water at plant 3.
