If you're on the west coast, you still have time to turn on the telly

and see the Berman sisters discuss sexual dysfunction. They're on Good

Morning America shortly after 8 a.m. this morning. Here's a partial

(unedited) transcript that I picked up from TVEyes:

Do you talk to your doctor

about sex? Women of any age can suffer sexual

dysfunction , but a

recent study by the group prime plus/red-hot mamas

found that most

menopausal women aren't comfortable bringing the

subject up, and they

may be hurting themselves because of it. In this

morning's " the healthy

woman, " dr. berman and dr. berman,

sisters and

co-directors of the women's sexual health clinic

at boston university, tell us

when it's time to break the ice with doctors, even

if they don't ask. >>

, is the doctor's office the place to have

conversations about sexual

matters? >> Absolutely. Just like with every other

aspect of our health,

our sexual health is just as important and just as

basic to our general health

and wellness. >> Dr. Berman, jennifer berman, your

concern that women

often don't feel comfortable discussing these

issues with their doctors. >>

It's that and, two, the physicians not being

comfortable bringing the

problems up. But issues surroundingly by doe, or

desire, and arow --

arousal, sensation in the genital area, those can

all have a medical base to

them. >> If a woman is having what she might think

of as a social issue

around sex, she's not having as much sex as she

once did, she doesn't

have the same desire she once did, should she

bring those up to a medical

doctor? >> Yes. Ideally the medical doctor .....
