Guest guest
hiya margaret! welcome to the group -- it is nice to meet you. im envying your bowflex...LOL. i keep watching the commercial but dont want to try to talk my husband into spending the money -- im waiting for him to get a little chubbier around the waist and then maybe he will buy us one he is in good shape as a concrete construction contractor but is pushing 40 so im bugging him to workout in his off-season (winter). anyway, please tell me how you like your bowflex and if there is anything that you dont like about it. i see that you use free weights in addition to the machine... why is that -- isnt the bowflex enough strength training for you? anyway, congrats on joining the world of taebo and billy and shellie! it is a nice place to be *~*~*~*~* Carolyn in ONT Canada --- Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Guest guest
hi carolyn, i really like the bow flex the only thing is that with free weights you really feel the weight. on the bow flex i will do 20lb in the bicep curls. with the free weights i use 10lbs. the 10lbs feels heavier. the bow flex is great for overall strength. sometimes i need alittle extra umph. the only thing i dont like about it is having to go upstairs to use it. you can go online and check out their site. they have smaller and cheaper models. thanks for the note. you just made me want to workout. thanks again, margaret Cola wrote:hiya margaret! welcome to the group -- it is nice to meet you. im envying your bowflex...LOL. i keep watching the commercial but dont want to try to talk my husband into spending the money -- im waiting for him to get a little chubbier around the waist and then maybe he will buy us one he is in good shape as a concrete construction contractor but is pushing 40 so im bugging him to workout in his off-season (winter). anyway, please tell me how you like your bowflex and if there is anything that you dont like about it. i see that you use free weights in addition to the machine... why is that -- isnt the bowflex enough strength training for you? anyway, congrats on joining the world of taebo and billy and shellie! it is a nice place to be *~*~*~*~* Carolyn in ONT Canada --- Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Guest guest
the tae-bo i did was the crunch master blaster video tape. its a quick tape with free weights for the upper body. the only thing i dont like about the tape is they cant keep the camera off the " B " movie actress SHANNON TWEED. can you tell i cant stand that. anyway i didnt do a tape friday but i did it saturday. I did the original basic. by the way do you or anyone else take suppliments before a workout. I take a liquid thermogenic/creatin. the thermogenic has NO efedra. any comments on that. I also just started juicing again. because it takes some time to prepare the fruits/veggies its almost like having a meal. margaret Cola wrote:YAY margaret!!! which taebo workout did you do? c'mon, lets do another one tomorrow!! *~*~*~*~* Carolyn RE: > hello, I just finished a quick workout with billy. i wasn't > going to, but reading all the mail i just had to say I can do it > also. margaret --- Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Guest guest
I like the different type of resistance. My bowflex can [ I think ] bo 350lbs. I can get attachments to go up to 425. I originally had the sucker downstairs. It looked really tacky in my livingroom. I have my workout room upstairs. With all my tapes, my 198? stationary bike and one of those leg swing thing-a-ma-gigs. Is it better to eat after a workout while your metab is still moving or should you wait?
