Guest guest
I saw my neurologist yesterday. He told me Tysabri would be back on the market in 4 or 5 months and for me to start thinking about trying it. He said the problems with it were when Tysabri was used in conjunction with Avonex and it lowered the immune system too low, allowing the multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML) virus to thrive and attack the brain of several patients. He said the drug is a good one and just can't be used along with Avonex. He also said that there was a 66% reduction in rate of relapses with Tysabri. He is very impressed with this drug. I really trust my neurologist and he has never steered me wrong. Who here has been on Tysabri? Did Medicare cover it? How did you feel? Any side effects?
