It used to be open whenever she was there but since we moved to our new hq 3 years ago her office is on the second floor of a building without elevator which meant she spent a lot of time using the stairs. Reports may be picked up 24 hours a day from us if arrangements have been made with the secretary during the hours given and phone callers can always be connected with her voice mail. > >With a 5.5 sq mi city, response times to our station are relatively >minimal. Our borough is average for New Jersey at only 1.97 square miles, the farthest point to our hq being 4 1/2 miles because a new townhouse development is located 1 1/2 miles from us on the northwestern edge boundary. The only entrance is on the northbound side of the 6 lane state highway divided by a Jersey barrier. The next u-turn is 1 1/2 miles north of the complex which requires a 3 mile round trip just to return to the same section of highway it's located on. BTW, to get to that u-turn it's 1/4 mile of highway in our borough, 1/4 mile through another borough (an 18 square mile one) and 1 mile in an adjoining 80 square mile township. It's also 1/4 mile from the highway to the last building of the complex. Rich Dean, NJ USA .. secondary email addresses are rldean@..., deanr@... .. Guest guest
When I worked Fire/EMS we had no contact with citizens, except over phones. But, this summer I took a position on City PD and our communications, takes care of all switchboard traffic, radio, and the complaint desk window (all hours).
